On April 29, 2022, Hedera Hashgraph, LLC announced that co-founder Mance Harmon had left his job as chief executive to become co-CEO of Swirlds Labs, a new company partly owned by Swirlds, Inc. Chief Scientist Leemon Baird made the same move, and the LLC dissolved both roles. Hedera's post gave its reason in one sentence. “These organizational changes, effective as of May 1, 2022, are critical to scaling the adoption of the Hedera network and accelerating development of the Hedera network ecosystem,” the company wrote.
