Quintaglie would “lead global marketing and communications with a focus on building Algorand's brand and reach,” reporting to interim chief executive Sean Ford, the release said. “I've had a passion for blockchain and Web3 for some time now, which is why I couldn't be more excited to join the Algorand team,” Quintaglie said. “Algorand represents the key values I look for in any great brand, amazing technology, global reach, proven leadership, and most importantly, a purpose-driven ethos”. Invezz reported the hire the same day, Sept. 21, 2022. The outlet named Quintaglie a former executive at Fidelity Asset Management and Visa Inc.2.

The move
Algorand's release detailed what Quintaglie would own. She would “enhance Algorand's position in the marketplace through brand positioning and narrative development, identifying and activating key sponsorships and partnerships, influencer marketing, and supporting future technology launches,” the release said1. Invezz filled in her resume beyond the announcement's own summary. She had served as SVP and head of communications at Fidelity Asset Management, then in the same rank at Visa2. Invezz reported she later led external communications at United Technologies through its split into three public companies and its merger with Raytheon.
Algorand before and after
Quintaglie's prior employers sat entirely outside blockchain, a path Algorand's release framed as a strength. She brought experience "having led teams for several Fortune 100 companies," the release said. Her earlier stops included Hill & Knowlton and the United Nations World Food Programme1. The hire slotted Quintaglie directly under interim chief executive Sean Ford on the leadership team. Her academic background spanned two continents. She graduated from Villanova University and completed graduate studies at the University of Nairobi, the release said.
What the record shows
Algorand's release and Invezz's report, both dated Sept. 21, 2022, name Quintaglie as the appointee and detail her career before Algorand12. A Google News search on October 3, 2026, looked for a later page on her tenure at Algorand. That search returned coverage of the September 2022 announcement, older reports from her years at Visa, and two World Food Programme pages; the 2026 page, opened in full, omits her name.
