The move
Chief executive Joseph Onorati tied the hire to his own history with Han. “John brings a rare combination of traditional financial rigor and deep crypto expertise,” Onorati said. “We're building a new kind of capital markets structure, and he's exactly the person we want steering our financial strategy. Having worked closely with him in the past, I'm thrilled to be partnering again on this next chapter.”1 The release said Han had led strategic finance at Kraken earlier in his career. There, he worked closely with both Onorati and incoming chief investment officer Parker White. The same announcement named Dan Kang head of investor relations. Kang had worked alongside White and Onorati at Kraken too.
DeFi Development Corp before and after
Han succeeded Bruce Rosenbloom. Rosenbloom had served as chief financial officer before the April 23 announcement.
