“Galaxy Digital named former Xerox chief executive Steven Bandrowczak an independent director on July 13, 2026, as it built its 1.6 gigawatt Helios data center campus in Texas. Does three decades of enterprise technology experience carry over to a digital asset and data center company?”

Galaxy Digital Inc. named Steven Bandrowczak an independent director on July 13, 2026, effective immediately1. He also joined the Audit Committee. Bandrowczak served as chief executive officer of Xerox Holdings Corporation from 2022 to 2026. He had joined Xerox in 2018 as president and chief operating officer, Galaxy's release said.

      The move

Michael Novogratz, Galaxy's founder and chief executive, pointed to Bandrowczak's record in large technology deals. “Steve has built and scaled some of the most complex enterprises in global technology, from integrating an $11 billion carve-out at Lenovo to authoring an enterprise AI operating model,” Novogratz said. “That combination of operating range, capital discipline, and technology fluency will strengthen our board as we continue to build in digital assets and data center infrastructure,” he said1. Michael Daffey, chair of Galaxy's board, added that Bandrowczak “has led public companies through reinvention, managed dozens of transactions, and built lasting leadership teams along the way”. Bandrowczak answered by naming the two businesses he was joining to oversee. “Galaxy is at the forefront of the two most transformative forces of our time: digital assets and data center infrastructure,” he said. “I've spent my career helping large organizations navigate exactly that kind of change, and I'm looking forward to working with Mike and the board to support Galaxy's continued growth,” he said.

StreetInsider's report on July 13, 2026 added detail on Bandrowczak's earlier roles. As chief information officer at DHL, the outlet wrote, he "consolidated the logistics company's global data center operations." At Lenovo, he "led the technology integration of IBM's personal computer business"2.

      Galaxy's board before and after

Bandrowczak's seat adds three decades of senior technology roles. Galaxy's release listed Alight Solutions, Hewlett-Packard, Avaya, Nortel and Avnet, on top of DHL, Lenovo and Xerox1. He now serves as a senior advisor at Sol Consulting, a technology consulting firm, and once sat on the boards of Xerox and Fuji Xerox. The appointment landed as Galaxy builds its 1.6 gigawatt Helios data center campus in Texas, work the release tied to his data center and AI background.

      What to watch

Galaxy named Bandrowczak to the board's Audit Committee on July 13, 20261. His appointment release credits him with an enterprise AI operating model built around autonomous agents. Novogratz praised his capital discipline. The test is the 1.6 gigawatt Helios buildout in Texas, and Galaxy's quarterly reports after July 2026 will show whether it keeps that discipline.
