At 23:30 UTC on May 25, 2026, Ondo Finance posted one statement that carried two announcements. “It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nathan Allman , Ondo's founder,” it began, and two paragraphs later it continued: " Ian De Bode , Ondo Finance's longtime President, will serve as CEO." Allman was 32 and had founded Ondo in 2021 after working on the digital assets team at Goldman Sachs, Cointelegraph reported. A spokesperson told Cointelegraph that his family had requested privacy. The CryptoLately.com Desk treats the death as the company did, as a fact stated once, and the story that follows covers the succession: who runs Ondo, under what authority, and what the company did from May 25 to Oct. 2.
