PayPal Names Intuit's Alex Chriss as Next CEO

PayPal's Board of Directors announced on August 14, 2023, that it had appointed Intuit executive Alex Chriss as president and CEO. He would start on September 27, 2023, succeeding retiring CEO Dan Schulman . The appointment followed a months-long search. TechCrunch reported that Chriss was chosen from a pool of nine candidates. The board had also met with more than 20 investors, including activist investor Elliott Management.
