SoFi Names Anthony Noto Chief Executive Officer

SoFi's board of directors named Anthony Noto chief executive officer and a director on Jan. 23, 2018, effective March 1, the company announced in its newsroom. Noto came from Twitter. He had served as its chief operating officer since November 2016, after joining as chief financial officer in July 2014. Interim CEO Tom Hutton had led the company since co-founder Mike Cagney's resignation four months earlier. Hutton moved into the chairman's seat, giving up day-to-day duties to Noto.
