Torab Torabi joined Movement Labs in September 2023 as director of business development. On May 7, 2025 he became chief executive of Move Industries. CoinDesk had reported on April 30, seven days earlier, that Movement Labs was examining a market-making deal. More than 5 percent of its MOVE tokens, earmarked for Web3Port, had been routed through an intermediary named Rentech. The release that named him describes Cooper Scanlon , the co-founder who had held the chief executive title, as "voluntarily passing the torch" to Torabi.
