On Feb. 12, 2026, Const told listeners of that day's Novelty Search call that he had already stepped down as chief executive of the Opentensor Foundation. SimplyTao reported on Feb. 13 that Ala Shaabana , who goes by ShibShib, confirmed he was stepping aside as chief operating officer at the same time. The foundation had launched Bittensor's mainnet in January 2021. On April 9, 2026, 56 days after the two titles went, a subnet team named Covenant AI published a statement saying one of the founders still held the controls.
