Ryan Wyatt announced his exit from Polygon Labs on July 7, 2023, in a post: “It's bittersweet to share I am leaving @0xPolygonLabs at the end of the month!” The company promoted its chief legal officer, Marc Boiron, to CEO the same day, and co-founder Sandeep Nailwal became executive chairman. Under Wyatt, the Polygon ecosystem had added brands including Reddit, Starbucks and Instagram. His successor came from the legal side of crypto: Boiron had led the legal department at dYdX Trading and advised Compound Labs and Uniswap Labs before Polygon.
