CZ Tells Traders to Drop SignalPlus API Keys
@cz_binance on XPosted
CZ@cz_binanceIf you use SignalPlus for any other exchange platform, it's time to revoke all your API keys.
It is generally recommend that you do not store your API keys with any 3rd party platform. 🙏

The take
CZ runs Binance. He is its founder. He posted on X at 11:05 UTC Thursday. His words ran short and sharp.
A firm called SignalPlus found a security problem. SignalPlus links to trading accounts through a code called an API key. An API key lets one app act on your account. Deribit flagged the problem first. Binance acted fast. Binance removed every API key tied to SignalPlus. Binance's own account posted the news at 10:51 UTC. That post picked up 246 likes.
CZ posted his own line nine minutes later. "It's time to revoke all your API keys," he wrote. His post picked up 617 likes fast. It drew 195 replies and quotes too. His plain words beat Binance's own notice by a wide margin.
Why did CZ's post win more attention? A short warning from a known face spreads faster than a company notice. People trust a person's blunt line more than a brand's careful one. CZ also told users on other exchanges to act. That widened his post past Binance's own customers.
Binance said its systems stayed safe. User funds stayed in place too. Still, the gap in likes says something plain. A founder's own voice still carries more weight than his company's memo. That gap matters more after a big hack. Binance lost $6.34 billion to hackers in a breach made public on Oct. 29. Trust in the exchange rests on CZ's own words, post by post.
BNB, Binance's coin, traded at $716.23 Thursday morning. The price barely moved on the news.
Crypto users face a new habit now. One app can touch a trading account on many exchanges at once. CZ's post works as a public safety check. It also shows how one man's phone still beats one firm's press team.
What it says about us
CZ's own post outran Binance's official notice, showing a founder still beats a brand online.

Trump Media Shifts $342 Million in Bitcoin

BSCN@BSCNewsTrump Media Selling Bitcoin?
A wallet linked to Trump Media transferred 4,259 $BTC, worth roughly $434 million, to Crypto(.)com (@cryptocom), per Arkham data.

The take
A wallet linked to Trump Media sent bitcoin to Crypto.com. BSCN, a crypto news account, posted about it on X at 5:52 UTC. The account said the move used two separate sends. It said the coins totaled 4,259 bitcoin. It put the value near $434 million.
CoinDesk checked the same wallet data. It put the value closer to $342 million. Both counts use the same coin amount. Wallet trackers often price a coin at the moment it moves. A gap this size shows how fast bitcoin's price can shift the math behind one headline.
Trump Media holds a pile of bitcoin. The firm calls the coins part of its treasury. These coins came from wallets marked for 2028 convertible notes. A convertible note is a loan that can turn into company stock. Noteholders can demand cash back starting Nov. 30. That demand could reach $1 billion if every holder asks at once.
Trump Media sent bitcoin to Crypto.com before, too. It moved coins there in May and again in August. The firm calls those moves trading. Selling, it says, is a separate step. BSCN's post picked up 96 likes. It drew 14 replies and quotes.
Why did this small post spread? A political firm moving bitcoin raises a plain question. Is the firm about to sell? Only the firm can answer that now. The timing, right before a big debt deadline, makes the question sharper.
Bitcoin traded at $80,302 Thursday morning. The move matters more because Trump's own family faces fresh scrutiny in Washington this week. Readers want to watch a political family's money moves. They want to watch it the same way they watch anyone else's money. A wallet on a public chain lets them do exactly that, one transfer at a time.

A single wallet move shows crypto people now track a political family's money like anyone else's.

Loopscale Pauses Trading After a Week of Attacks

The take
Loopscale is a lending app. It runs on Solana, a fast blockchain many apps use. Loopscale posted an update on X at 10:13 UTC. It said a skilled attacker had hit its systems for a week. Its own computer systems took in more than 30,000 bad requests each day. The attacker aimed at two vaults. One vault holds SOL, Solana's own coin. The other vault holds USDC, a coin pegged to the dollar.
Loopscale's team saw the attacks grow stronger early Thursday. They paused the app right away. They said every deposit stayed in place. The team called in outside security experts. They also brought in law enforcement. The team named four wallet addresses tied to the attacker.
Loopscale's post picked up 86 likes. It drew 21 replies. Those numbers sound small next to this fall's big thefts.
Why did a paused app still draw notice? Crypto users watch for early signs of trouble now. A months-long scheme cost Binance $6.34 billion in a hack made public on Oct. 29. A second record loss hit a Brazilian exchange, Mercado Bitcoin, just days after that. Every fresh pause this fall reads as its own small test. Did the lessons from those two hacks actually hold up anywhere else?
Loopscale passed this test, at least so far. SOL traded at $96.42 Thursday morning. The coin barely moved on the pause.
The reach here says something plain about crypto today. A team that stops an attack before it costs a cent still earns real notice. People want proof that fixes built after past hacks hold up under a fresh try. A quiet save counts as news this season, the same way a loud theft once did. Crypto still runs on trust built one close call at a time.
What it says about us
A protocol that stopped an attack before any loss shows crypto still rewards a quiet save.

Polygon Weighs Editing Its Chain to Undo Hacks

The take
Polygon is a blockchain. Many apps build on it. A hacker drained funds from Polymarket's website in one incident. A separate hack hit a Binance-linked wallet on Polygon too. Both thefts moved Polygon's own coin, POL.
Wu Blockchain is a crypto news account. It posted about a fix plan on X at 2:14 UTC. The post said a Polygon Labs team member filed the plan. The plan asks validators to approve a hard fork. A hard fork is a planned change to a blockchain's own rules.
The plan would erase POL from five wallets. Those wallets link to the hackers. The plan would then add that POL to new wallets. Polymarket and Binance picked those wallets. The total comes to 70.49 million POL. Binance's share runs 46.63 million POL. Polymarket's share runs 23.86 million POL. Polymarket already paid users $3.9 million from its own funds. That payment came before any recovery. Polygon held a call to debate the plan later Thursday.
The post picked up 54 likes. It drew 44 replies and quotes.
Why did a technical post spread this far? A blockchain is built to keep one record forever. A plan to edit that record breaks a rule many users treat as settled. Even a fix meant to undo a theft breaks that rule. Replies split fast into two camps. One camp wants victims paid back fast. One camp worries any edit sets a path for the next hack.
POL traded at $0.098 Thursday morning. The coin barely moved on the news.
The reach says something real about crypto today. People built blockchains to skip one judge calling a fix fair. This fork plan puts a human judgment call back in the center. The system was built to run past that call. Now it may need that call anyway.
What it says about us
A plan to edit a blockchain to undo a hack shows crypto still needs human judgment.
