“Securitize, a tokenization platform that calls itself the leader in real-world assets, hired Georgia Quinn as chief legal officer on March 4, 2025, straight from her general counsel job at Anchorage Digital. Did Securitize's regulatory bet on Georgia Quinn pay off within the year?”

The move

Quinn's hire put a digital-asset lawyer in charge of Securitize's legal strategy. “Securitize has been at the forefront of bringing real-world asset tokenization into a compliant, regulated framework, and I am excited to join at such a critical and exciting time for the industry,” Quinn said in the release. “Now that the regulatory stalemate is over and we can make meaningful progress toward a functional legal framework, I look forward to working with the team to ensure Securitize remains a trusted leader in the space.”1

Chief executive Carlos Domingo named her prior work. "We are thrilled to welcome Georgia to the Securitize leadership team," Domingo said. “Her deep understanding of digital asset regulation and her experience leading legal strategy for financial institutions will be invaluable as we continue to build a compliant, efficient, and innovative ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.”1

Securitize before and after

Before Quinn joined, Securitize already held a long regulatory record. It is an SEC-registered broker-dealer, a transfer agent, a fund administrator and the operator of an SEC-regulated trading system1. Apollo, BlackRock, Hamilton Lane and KKR count among the asset managers it works with. Domingo had told the House Financial Services Committee about tokenization in June 2024. He asked lawmakers for clearer rules, FinanceFeeds reported2.

Quinn brought her own record to the job. FinanceFeeds, citing the Securitize announcement, said she had “played a pivotal role in shaping legal frameworks for blockchain-based financial services” across four years at Anchorage Digital2.

What came next

Quinn held the Securitize job for less than nine months. Forward Industries, a Nasdaq firm that runs a Solana treasury, named her its general counsel on November 25, 20253. The role covers the firm's legal work, its governance and its lawsuits, and the announcement listed her Securitize title among earlier stops at CoinList and Anchorage Digital. Chairman Kyle Samani said in the announcement, “Georgia is a critical addition to Forward's leadership team as we execute our Solana treasury strategy at scale.” Quinn called the move "an extremely fulfilling and full-circle opportunity," pointing to her past work on Solana's token launch as a lawyer at CoinList.
