Strive named Pierre Rochard, CEO of The Bitcoin Bond Company, to its board of directors on September 15, 2025. That was the day the newly public company announced its full board and its first Bitcoin treasury strategy1. The board brought together seven outside directors, described by the company as "experienced Bitcoin executives," alongside Strive's own chairman and three C-suite officers.

The move
Strive's own release listed Rochard by name and title: "Pierre Rochard, CEO of The Bitcoin Bond Company"1. The full board held eleven voting members and one observer. Shirish Jajodia of Strategy sat on it. So did Ben Werkman of Swan and James Lavish of The Bitcoin Opportunity Fund. Avik Roy, Mahesh Ramakrishnan and Yale's Jonathan Macey filled out the group. The Block also named Rochard among the "industry veterans" joining the merged company2.
Matt Cole, Strive's chairman and CEO, explained the thinking behind the roster. He picked Bitcoin-specific track records over generalist directors. “A mission aligned board is essential for a Bitcoin treasury company to achieve its goals,” Cole said. “Our board and executive team have world-class expertise in Bitcoin, Bitcoin treasury management, capital markets, policy, and governance. We have quickly developed a strong working chemistry that is rare, and I believe will drive substantial shareholder value.”1
Before and after the appointment
Strive had just completed its merger with Nasdaq-listed Asset Entities when the board was announced. It called itself "the first publicly traded asset management Bitcoin treasury company"1. Its balance sheet held 69 Bitcoin, acquired through a Section 351 exchange in that merger, worth about $7.9 million at the time according to The Block2. Strive also disclosed a $750 million financing round, with up to $750 million more available from warrants within 12 months. A $450 million stock offering and a $500 million buyback program came with it.
Rochard had founded his own company to apply Bitcoin treasury strategy to corporate balance sheets, a specialty several of his fellow directors shared too. Strive's approach echoed Strategy's own use of a shelf registration to issue securities tied to Bitcoin accumulation, The Block noted2. Vivek Ramaswamy had co-founded Strive Asset Management, the outlet also reported, and was expected to run for Ohio governor in 2026.
What came next
Rochard was still on Strive's board in August 2026, nearly a year later. He added to his own stake in the company along the way. A Form 4 filing reported by Stock Titan on August 14, 2026 showed the purchase. Rochard, identified in the filing as "Strive, Inc. (ASST) director Rochard Pierre," bought 15,900 shares of Strive's Class A common stock on the open market at $12.54 a share3. Stock Titan's own summary called the purchase's sentiment positive, a reading the service applies to the wording of the disclosure itself, separate from Strive's share price.
