On July 19, 2023, CryptoSlate reported, citing the Wall Street Journal, that Terraform Labs had a new chief executive, Chris Amani , who succeeded co-founder Do Kwon . Amani gave the Journal his assessment of the job: “We have a vision for how we could salvage this, even though I think it's going to be hard and it's going to take a long time.” Terraform's bankruptcy filing dates the change 110 days earlier, to March 31, 2023, when Kwon stepped down as chief executive.
